It’s finally here! Over a decade since RuPaul first sashayed down the runway for the Emmy Award-winning show RuPaul’s Drag Race, the Philippines now has its own franchise. Drag Race Philippines shines light on world-class Filipino talent from our own local drag artists.

Hosted by multi-hyphenate Paolo Ballesteros, contestants are sure to show the country and the rest of the world what Filipinos are capable of. Through mini challenges that reference Filipino culture such as the Darna Photoshoot in Episode 1 and Palo Sebo in Episode 2, the show is sure to highlight Pinoy pride. And on the main stage, runway categories combine trademark RuPaul quotes and Filipino soul with titles like Ter-No, She Betta Don’t!, and Sagala-mazon.

But not only from the Ru Girls can we expect charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent, but from the show’s panel of star-studded judges as well! With comedienne KaladKaren and RuPaul’s Drag Race Alumni Jiggly Caliente as permanent judges, the queens definitely have their work cut out for them. Combined with the rotating judges, celebrity photographer BJ Pascual, fashion designer Rajo Laurel, and comedian Jon Santos, Drag Race Philippines did not come to play.

Oh and have we mentioned the show’s roster of extra special guest judges like actress Nadine Lustre, former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and singer Regine Velasquez-Alcasid?
