Presenting the new Speedy!

The It bag of all It bags just got a new update.

Released in tandem with his debut show for the Louis Vuitton, Pharrell Williams unveils a reimagined version of the iconic Speedy bag. Photographed by Keizō Kitajima and Martine Syms, the campaign stars a pregnant Rihanna.

Imbued with real-life sensibilities, the new Speedy is made in supple grained calf leather lined in the finest lambskin. The softened construction enables the bottom of the bag to collapse and drape the way it would through everyday wear and gestures. The silkscreen-printed Monogram induces a blurry, artisanal, and almost hand-painted effect, rendered in several colors across nine dimensions.

Inspired by his early education in luxury at Canal Street on Lower Manhattan, New York, Pharrell wanted to create a bag that captures the diverse energy and hustle mentality echoed in corresponding streets around the metropoles of the world.

The campaign serves as an offset to the creative direction of Pharrell Williams. Thought provoking, the campaign aims to alter perceptions, challenge history, and evolve an existing legacy.
