It’s the first Monday of May and all of fashion is tuned in to one of the glitziest nights in the industry. It’s the 2024 Met Gala. The 2024 Costume Institute exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art is themed “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakaning Fashion.” With the dress code of the gala being “The Garden of Time,” the stars came in their own interpretation of the theme and they sure did bloom strong.

Kicking off the showstoppers tonight were Nicole Kidman with a reinterpreted dress from Balenciaga in the 1950s—modernized by Demna Gvasalia.

Other surprise statement-makers were Wicked co-stars Ariana Grande looking like a fairy in Loewe and the preppy blooms of Cynthia Erivo in a Thom Browne look. Men like Met Gala co-host Bad Buddy in custom Margiela and Jonathan Bailey also were the most dapper that night.

Truly, the night was a mesmerizing show of florals, blooms, fauna, and everything in between.
