The Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Coronation Night was indeed a night filled with glamour. Miss Pasay Celeste Cortesi took home the much coveted crown. She will continue to represent the country as our official delegate to the Miss Universe show in December in Costa Rica. The night isn’t hers alone. Statement-making looks were sprinkled throughout the show and we can't help but be wowed!
Miss Universe Philippines 2015 Winner and host Pia Wurtzbach lead the pack with her change of looks, four in total! Her opening dress, a glimmering white and silver look from Mark Bumgarner sure opened the night on a good note. Equally stunning were her co-hosts Miss Universe 2017 South Africa Demi-Leigh Tebow and Miss Universe France 2016 Iris Mittenaere.
Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Finalist Beatrice Gomez broke convention with her final walk. Instead of walking in an evening gown, she went for a black and white tuxedo, paired up with hot pink heels. This indeed was a look of the night.
The key winners of the categories also made a moment for their looks. Miss Pasay Michelle Dee won the Best in Evening Gown category in her Francis Libiran bejewelled look with an open front. Miss Pasay Celeste Cortesi also rocked the Best in Swimsuit category in her purple two-piece swimwear. For the Best In National Costume, Miss Albay Julia Calleja Saubier’s archer look definitely wowed.
Ladies in red, Pia Wurtzbach’s finale look by Gladi Echavarre and Atsuko Kudo and reigning Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu’s old rose number surely stole the night in their walks.
