#MetroStyleWatch: New Moms And How Their Fashion Evolved After Pregnancy
Here's what you can learn from these women of style.
Every woman in this planet goes through motherhood differently. There is no one size fits all approach when it comes to carrying a baby bump for nine whole months, giving birth, and welcoming a bouncing baby. Change is inevitable but anyone who goes through it with or without fuss deserves a pat in the back! To celebrate Mother's Day, we looked into the most recent style transformations we witnessed during the pandemic. Take a look at how Kryz Uy-Young, Sofia Andres, Camille Co-Koro, Martine Cajucom-Ho, and Anne Curtis-Smith dress up before, during, and after their pregnancy and see how they've gone from being a stylish woman to a momma of style!
For all new moms or moms-to-be out there, remember that just like the women we mentioned above, your style won't ever disappear but expect to have some things swapped out for far more useful and versatile fashion pieces—or perhaps just evolve. Trust that you'll be needing those in the long run and do not fret because you'll be able to find stylish diaper bags, sneakers, and lovely day dresses along the process! If you need more style inspirations for this, make sure to read down below and learn a thing or two from our favorite stylish moms.
Kryz Uy-Young
Kryz's sense of style has always been a pretty mix of ruffles, ultra femme dresses in every length, and prints galore. If there's one thing Kryz has swapped out for baby Scott, it's definitely her pairs of statement earrings and we totally understand why! If you're a mom of a baby or a toddler, you would know how much they are curious with just about anything. It's safer to put your dangling or elaborate earrings to rest up until happy hour. Other than that, feel free to wear tons of prints and day dresses like Kryz.
Sofia Andres
The ever-darling Sofia is not one to miss out on the latest trends. Even as a mom, she's always the first to know whether quilted bags are in or when its best to sport a fedora! Although we didn't see much from her nine-month pregnancy journey on social media, we can still see how much Sofia's sense of style changed ever since she gave birth to baby Zoe. Once a lover of all neutral ensembles, Sofia is now more open to wearing bigger and bolder statement pieces such as the green tweed ensemble she wore in the photo above. We love that she has refined her designer collection as well, with pieces from Valentino and Chanel even for her daily looks!
Camille Co-Koro
Famous for her edgy designer looks with zinging neon dresses, leather trousers, and printed statement bags, Camille is slowly exchanging all of these to complement baby Sienna's fresh and cuddle-ready looks. One of our favorites looks from Camille's pregnancy was her pink sunset vacation look! We were so delighted to see a pregnant fashionista in statement looks still. Best believe that Camille will be surprising us more with her fashion choices especially since she has baby Sienna to style and match with.
Martine Cajucom-Ho
Martine made loungewear outfits look interesting even way before the surge of the trend last year. Apart from her unmissable bodysuit and unitard moments, we especially love her in hot red suits, monochromatic pastel ensembles, and with a pair from her to-die-for sandals collection. Martine's wardrobe just got even brighter and bolder during her pregnancy. And just like fulfilling a complete evolution around a color spectrum, she took on motherhood with more neutral ensembles like this buttery lounge set from byTiMo.
Anne Curtis-Smith
As a fixture in the local entertainment industry, Anne has seemingly worn it all! For us, her biggest pregnancy style transformation has got to be her budding love for matching dresses, jumpsuits, and ensembles with baby Dahlia. As a lover of both music and film, it's no surprise why every outfit from this mom and daughter duo looks like an excerpt from a nostalgic '70s film. We definitely can't wait to see both Anne and Baby Dahlia in more matching looks!
