We Love This Hit Dress: Which One Is Your Favourite Look, Seo Ye-Ji Or Crystal Zhang?

Korean actress Seo Ye-Ji and Chinese star Crystal Zhang both wore the dress, styled differently! See the looks here.

It is rare to see a red carpet-worthy dress worn several times, each time making it feel brand new. Such is the essence of this hit Alex Perry black dress. The statement dress was seen worn by two top Asian actresses, Korean K-Drama queen Seo Ye-Ji and Chinese star Crystal Zhang, on two separate occasions. The two lovely ladies had their own take on the dress, one making it sexy and sultry while the other classic and polished. We love them both!

Seo Ye-Ji graced the red carpet of the Buil Film Awards in Korea last October in the said Alex Perry low-scoop black number. Her styling was undeniable sexy, highlighting the high slit and low neck neckline, showing just the right amount of skin. Her beauty look was kept simple: a sleek parted pony and a almost a bare face.

I Belonged to You Chinese star Crystal Zhang had a different take on the Fall/Winter ’20 dress. Worn during an 11.11 Super Show in China, also called Single’s Day in the region and one of the biggest selling days, Crysal went for a polarizing take on the dress: No slit in sight and a bolder beauty look of mid-parted hair and a strong red lip. It was immaculate on her, lending the dress a more polished turn in comparison to Seo Ye-ji.

Alex Perry has dressed big names in both the global and Asian show business such as Kourtney Kardashian, Olivia Culpo, and even Jennifer Lopez. Blackpink’s Lisa and other top Chinese actresses make Alex Perry a go-to choice as well for the red carpet and on television.

The now-famed dress is a Fall/Winter ’20 classic from Alex Perry which had a rock n’ roll initial styling paired with a grunge beauty look. Though different to how it was restyled by these two stars, it just shows how a great dress is a versatile one.

We love both takes on but who’s your pick or how would you restyle this dress?
