<p>The annual <strong>Venice Film Festival</strong> is one of the biggest events in the cinema and fashion calendar. It’s as much as a spectacle for fashion lovers as it is for film buffs! This year, the film festival is off to a strong start with celebrities showing up in high fashion looks as early as day 1. </p><div><br/></div><p>Serving as this year’s jury president, <strong>Julianne Moore</strong> made her presence known in a Maison Alaïa couture dress at the pre-festival cocktail party and a sharp Celine suit for a photocall. At the opening ceremony of the film festival she wore a Valentino couture gown with a matching cape, a fitting look for the woman of the hour.</p><div><br/></div><p>Fashion veteran <strong>Cate Blanchett</strong> made heads turn at the red carpet and premiere of her newest film<em> Tár</em>. Cate wore an off-the-runway couture gown from Schiaparelli. The black velvet gown embellished with hand-painted flowers caused our collective jaws to hit the floor. Now that’s what you call star power!</p><div><br/></div><p><em>White Noise</em> lead actress <strong>Jodie Turner-Smith</strong> commanded on the red carpet, premiere, and photocall of her new film with looks from Gucci, Balmain, and Christoper John Rogers. </p><div><br/></div><p>In the gallery down below, we’re rounding up all of our favorite looks on the Venice Film Festival red carpet.
