EXCLUSIVE: Lifestyle Consultant Aimee Hashim Lets Us In On Her Dior Experience At Paris Fashion Week

I have known for quite a while that I am going to be sent to Fashion Week in Paris this year. Not certain about the dates, I kept mum, as I am always one to say it once it's already happening.

The invitation through the director of UAE finally came. I prepared everything with my friend's help since I just got back from another trip. Pressed for time, I made it a day before the show. The Dior team made everything very special for me. Indeed, they do know how to treat elite clients in an extraordinary way.

At 12 noon, the glam team provided by the brand arrived in my hotel room. Fenny and Dalli came to doll me up. Photographers Jyd and Kuya Cy also came to document the entire experience.

At around 1:45, the Dior Marketing Director for the whole GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) met up with me and picked me up in a chaffeur-driven C-Class! Apart from a Belgian socialite living in Dubai, I was the only other one invited to the show for UAE.

Arriving at the venue made me so excited! A lot of paparazzi were there. Some celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Cara Delevingne, and Bae Suzy were in attendance. Bae Suzy, who was also staying in my hotel (so sad that I didn't get the chance to take a photo with her) greeted me and mouthed "beautiful" and "pretty dress!"

Dior never fails to amaze and deliver, as always. The collection was breathtakingly beautiful, and most importantly wearable for my clients. Dior's renowned Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri was present at the show, and says that the collection is dedicated to the great Karl Lagerfeld. 

The day after the show, a private viewing was held for VIPs, and I was fortunate enough to be able to see the clothes firsthand as well! I rounded up some of my favorite looks from the show. Scroll further to see!
