Fil-Am Designer Rhuigi Villaseñor Dares To Dream For His Second Collection With Bally

Inspired by the persistence of time, Rhuigi emphasizes the tension between tradition and modernity for Bally's F/W 2023 collection.

New energy bubbled up in Milan Fashion Week as many ascending young talents find their way to positions of power at some of fashion’s most important heritage brands. Filipino-American designer Rhuigi Villaseñor created buzz in MFW as he presented his sophomore collection for Bally

Set at the Casa degli Atellani, Leonardo Da Vinci’s home during the six years he was working across the road painting The Last Supper, Rhuigi chose the historic residence to further the message of Bally’s F/W 2023 collection. Titled “Persistence of Time”, Rhuigi found a certain intimacy in imperfection and daring to dream. The collection featured rich leathers, striking metallics, and luxe knitwear that are exquisitely crafted for everyday and aesthetics.

It was obvious that the collection perfectly encapsulated Rhuigi’s LA sensibility with Bally’s old luxury heritage. Other offerings include quilted handbags, logo-emblazoned belts, bold jewelry, and footwear.

Present at the show were friends of the House including DK of SEVENTEEN, Dixie D’Amelio, Lori Harvey, J Balvin, and more. Bally is slowly becoming the talk of the town, and we’re here for it.
