In this rare historic feat, Dior Men’s Artistic Director Kim Jones bagged The Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt as the majestic backdrop for the Fall 2022 Men’s showcase. It was truly written in the stars this show as Kim Jones looked into Monsieur Christian Dior’s fascination with astronomy and connected it with how the ancient Egyptians used them as guides. This stellar show made all the difference.

75 models lined up and sashayed in their desert-inspired looks—a refreshing take on Egyptian reference that’s not your typical archaeology nor Pharaoh-related. Instead, the looks revolved around the stars with NASA photographs incorporated into the pieces, and the models looking like they’re going into a post-apocalyptic, intergalactic journey. Yes, Dune was in the moodboard, too.

The number 75 wasn’t incidental, too. This year, Dior celebrates 75 years since its founding. This grand show was only fitting of such occasion.

Scarves got blown by the desert wind, kilts breezing as they walk on the sandy desert, helmets, and desert boots were also front and center. This visceral experience is definitely a show to remember.
