From Paris to Shanghai and, now, Tokyo, watch one of the most exciting Men’s shows of the season!

Today marks the last leg of Louis Vuitton’s travelling menswear show which will be aired live from Tokyo. Called “Message in a Bottle,” Virgil Abloh’s three-part show started in Paris, showing a shipment leaving the Seine River en route to Shanghai which kickstarted a live show. Now, the grand staging stops in Tokyo, in which they promise a sense of newness to the show.

This off-the-beaten-path staging by Louis Vuitton is their artistic’s director response to moving away from the traditional fashion calendar. The times have changed the way we see fashion and now, brands have independently been coming up with collections and shows with newer eyes, oftentimes even more exciting. This Men’s S/S ’21 show is just the start for Louis Vuitton.

The Shanghai show on August 6 was filled with the Virgil’s underlying theme of childhood: pastel blue skies and clouds, rainbow-colored suits and bags, detachable stuffed toys, and multi-hued balloons. The characters, playfully called Zooom and friends, are expected to still make an appearance on this show.
