Birkenstock Has A Premium Spin For Men And You’ll Love It

Birkenstock fully embraces menswear in a new collection that taps into the heritage market. Aptly named #BOLD, this premium take on their iconic Arizona and Boston models, two silhouettes that have defined the success of the global footwear brand.

The heritage collection comes in brown and black leather, perfect for easy days and special occasions. Both the Arizona and Boston offer functionality while giving room for sartorial upgrades like for this launch.

For this particular collection, Birkenstock collaborated with skilled craftsmen and tasteful curators to fully capture the essence of the new pieces. 

Takashi Okabe is a true purveyor of taste. He is the Director of London’s Clutch Café, the menswear store through which he curates what is possibly London’s nest edit of ‘American Casual’ style. “Style is all about being comfortable and happy about who you are,” he says while sporting the new brown Boston Birkenstock. “When choosing a product, I think about what it will be like to wear in ten years’ time. These things are all about bringing happiness, and being authentic in who you are and what you do.” 

James Otter is a Cornwall-based master woodworker. He crafts bespoke, hand-made surfboards from timber sourced from England’s West Country, using techniques that date back to the very earliest days of surfboard construction. He is a master creator. “I think that creating something by hand is what defines us as humans,” he says spring the black Boston Birkenstock. “When you create something with your hands you leave something of yourself in the thing that you make. That makes a huge di erence. And every time you paddle out with these boards you feel that humanity.” 

Both men embody what the new line is all about: funtion, quality, and heritage. These creators, in their own right, show the process of making and putting together pieces and processes to truly craft something that will last. Such is a pair of Birkenstocks.
