Discover What’s New With Celine For F/W ’24

A nod to the 1960s, a beauty line, a new bag—what a packed collection!

Celine’s Fall/Winter 2024 offering marks a lot of firsts and celebrates a lot of moments. This season is all about the “La Collection de l’Arc de Triomphe” by Hedi Slimane, a modernized ode to the 1960s, and where he punctuates the re-imagined Triomphe monogram, a new signature of the French fashion house.

In 1971, Celine Vipiana was at Place de l’Étoile when her car broke down. While waiting for assistance, she observed the chain link design encircling the Arc de Triomphe. This pattern inspired what would later become Celine’s iconic monogram.

Fast forward to 2018, when Hedi Slimane joined Celine. He reimagined this classic emblem with a contemporary twist, renaming it “Triomphe.” This refreshed design has since become a recurring motif in Celine’s seasonal collections.

The “La Collection de l’Arc de Triomphe” pays homage to the 1960s, a golden era for Celine. This collection celebrates the brand’s origins with two-piece “coordinates” looks that are both chic and sleek. It blends ready-to-wear pieces with intricately hand-embroidered couture items, and features felt caps reminiscent of Celine’s classic baseball cap from the 1960s.

On his first day at Celine in 2018, Slimane designed the Triomphe bag, marking the debut of the redesigned emblem. This bag quickly became a new classic for the house, embodying Celine’s essence and values.

Introduced in March 2024 as part of “La Collection de l’Arc de Triomphe,” the new Garance bag features a distinctive long, rounded strap that can be worn either over the shoulder or between the fingers. It plays with feminine style elements and is a nod to the iconic Triomphe Classique bag.
