Coloring Fall & Winter The Tod’s Way
A sneak peek at Tod’s Fall Winter 2018 Collection was hosted by SSI this week, and as the stores will be carrying the lines by the first week of September, it’s best you head to the shops and start reserving your preferred styles - as this collection is really a great one.
For Diego Della Valle and Tod’s, the seasons of Fall and Winter don’t mean you have to go drab and sober. Instead, they’ve given us the option to be colorful via deep, rich tones which echo the season. Whimsical, playful, even exhilarating; it’s wonderful to see how the shoes and leather goods can play with texture, with color, with materials, and with finishes.
That Della Valle himself sits on the Board of Ferrari is not lost on us, as a new collaborative line is introduced this season - driving shoes and moccasins that carry the signature Ferrari Red. And if this Red wasn’t enough, check out the Red Velvet Mocs that will certainly be the must-have pair this season. For the ones who want to be edgy but are a tad more conservative at heart, I would recommend the Moccasins that come with an oxidised Copper finish - you won’t find weathered and stylish in a more potent combination than in these pair of shoes.
For the women, Tod’s Fall Winter 2018 is a very fun time! The fringed driving shoes come in a bevy of great colors, and I absolutely loved the patent leather slip-ons. A number of the bags come with a lamb-inspired accessory that’s too cute for words. And if you’re feeling absolutely sheepish, there’s a bag that’s made just for you. The suede boots are two-toned, and sexy to its core.
