We don't know about you, but as spectators of today's Met Gala red carpet, we'd have to say we had a blast being glued to our smart phones awaiting every celebrity to walk the famed Met Gala red carpet themed "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination." 

Compared to the past years, this year's Met Gala proved to be one of the most controversial, yet most fascinating to watch, what with fantastical gowns and costume jewelry paraded with much splendour. While we're sure that the exhibit is otherworldly in beauty, the stars that attended clearly did not disappoint in the fashion department. The gowns were the center of attraction, but the headpieces added that much-needed punctuation mark finishing off the Catholic-inspired ensembles. 

From Rihanna's pope-inspired headpiece to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's halo, there sure was no shortage of opulent, elaborate statement accessories to literally cap off the stunning designer creations.
