Fanny Packs Are ‘Belt Bags’ Now And They’re Hotter Than Ever
Remember how people used to laugh at those strap-on purses? How we cringed at the sight of a puffy fanny pack on our hips, even though we won’t deny how handy it actually was. Well, thanks to fashion’s constant re-invention of accessories, the once passé fanny pack has ushered in the new belt bag trend.
As the name implies, belt bags are wrapped around the hips, secured by a belt-like strap. They are small enough for easy carry, but big enough to hold your essentials, like your phone, wallet, keys and even a small camera. Unlike the usual fanny pack, belt bags have more structure, almost like a miniature version of an iconic bag. Embellishment are also exaggerated to create a statement touch; and finally, some belt bags are cleverly designed to be versatile, allowing for convertible straps.
Do you have any travel plans this summer? Then maybe one of these belt bags will be your new on-the-go favorite:
