Fendi x Skims Is That One Collab You Didn’t Know You Needed

From the countless, tiring collabs we’ve seen this year, there comes that one collection that feels like a breathe of fresh air. Yes, Fendi and Skims come together for a capsule wardrobe you didn’t think you’ll ever need: a mix of shapewear and outerwear in today’s must-have logomania looks. The pieces, while being so refreshing, bring out the best in both brands.

Fendi Creative Director Kim Jones and Skims owner Kim Kardashian West debut a collection that focuses on fit and form. Skims is one of the leading brands in shapewear and is deeply highlighted in the collection. Silhouettes in velvet prove to be truly modern while bonded leather dresses reminiscent of Roman aesthetics show the heritage of Fendi. 

A hybrid Fendi x Skims logo seem to be the selling point of the looks. It’s recognizable while not being overdone. It actually makes you want to cop a piece or two right away! Underwear, knits, hosiery, and sports-inspired pieces are front and centre in the capsule.

“My Fendi is about creating something for every woman, every different shape—and that’s something at the heart of SKIMS too,” explains Kim Jones. This shared ethos is what makes this collaboration so refreshing and new. You feel the luxury while also seeing the inclusivity of form-fitting pieces meant for everyone.

If that’s not enough, iconic Fendi bags were also imbued with the Skims spirit. There is a standout options of brightly colored Fendi icons alongside neutral tones, from Peekaboo and Fendi First to the new Baguette Chain and signature Sunshine Shopper in 3D FF logo, available also in their Mini and Nano versions.

This is just the very collection we love to see in a collab, not overly done while bringing out the best in both brands.

The Fendi x Skims collection will launch on 9th November 2021 at 6.00 am US - PST time, 9.00 am US - EST time, 3.00 pm Italy time, 9.00 pm Asia-HK time at selected FENDI stores and retailers globally.
