H&M’s Sustainable Sportswear Let’s You Trade-In Your Old Activewear For Discount
H&M's Sustainable Sportswear come in tones of earthy green, brown, black, beige and subtle florals
Inspired by the tones of nature and the power of strong women, H&M launches its first conscious collection for ladies sportswear, which goes in hand with the brand’s continued commitment for a circular economy. "Fashion forward" and “conscious-led”, the Sustainable H&M Sport Collection carries an array of activewear and sports gear, such as sports bras, leggings, hoodies and training tops, made predominantly from recycled fabrics .
“By bringing together the functional and feminine, the aim is to give customers a stylish, conscious sports collection, [and] not just through the fabrics,” says Petra Smeds, Head Designer of H&M sportswear. "Not only are the clothes made from recycled polyester, elastane and organic cotton, but its method of knitting is a new technique that creates “seamless garments, while using less yarn or fabric waste."

As part of their commitment to create a circular economy and promote recycling, H&M is also accepting trade-ins of your old activewear in exchange for a discount on the Sustainable H&M Sport Collection. From January 4-31, H&M stores in SM Mega Fashion Hall, SM Makati and Uptown Mall will accept used, donated activewear for its Garment Collecting program. Participants will get two 15% off vouchers valid on the activewear item of their choice.
