Longchamp envisions a summer of easiness and weekend getaways—some of the things we happen to love this season. Longchamp Spring/Summer 2022 is all about celebrating the French art de vivre: imagine a Sunday in Provence, France over brunch on a wooden table set with colourful earthenware and crisp linens. All decked, of course, with this season’s must-have pieces.
Linen is a key theme of the collection, as the French fashion has collaborated with Charvet, A purveyor of the finest French linen tea towels since 1866, to create a refreshing take on thee iconic Le Pliage. The new spin comes as a white linen tote bag with a vertical red and blue stripe that can be worn multiple ways: hand-held, crossbody, or even hugged.
Another bag highlight of the season is a different take on the Le Pliage, The Saint-Tropez. It’s a top handle bag that’s made with canvas and comes in a bevy of colors. It’s lightness makes it a perfect choice for those looking for something with more structure.

Other artisanal inspirations played on by Longchamp Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine are the brightly hued earthenware she loves to collect when she’s in the south of France, Provençal boutis embroidery, and the soft floral patterns of traditional counterpanes. She draws these eclectic influences into a collection that is full of energy and far from literal: the spirit may be Provençal, but the attitude is pure Parisienne!
