We're Channeling These '70s Style Icons For Summer 2019

In just a few short days, January will be over; a brand new summer season awaits, and with it comes a brand new wardrobe!

Creating your summer look is more than just heading out to the mall and grabbing whatever fits. This year, go out of your comfort zone and create a new vibe for your summer looks—whether it be nautical chic, minimalist utilitarian, or glamorous Bohemian!

For Spring/Summer 2019, we're channeling the glamazons of the '70s—fashion icons and models Anita Pallenberg and Veruschka! These women epitomized what it was to truly be living the carefree and stylish life, while wearing some of the prettiest designer creations enough to be envied by most. These tastemakers are the inspiration behind Longchamp's Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine's first runway show for Spring/Summer 2019.

We're smitten by the collection's take on Boho glam—unexpected and effortless, evoking dreamy desert drives and late LA nights. We saw fringed knee-high boots, vivid bags and clothing in leopard and Ikat print, statement accessories, styled to perfection to create that covetable cool vibe.

There were Macramé dresses, leather details, airy pieces that could be layered even on a sunny day. Each piece is a conversation piece on its own, and when put together, creates the summer wardrobe of our dreams. While this collection takes us back to the glamorous times of the sexy '70s, it evokes the spirit of today's modern woman, and Longchamp's universal appeal.

The accessories require you to take a second look: A brand new bag line dubbed the "Amazone" are adorned with striking details like stones, vibrant colors and prints, and leather fringes. Considered to be a bold style icon for the season, the color palette is influenced by the vibrancy of bright summer days.
