These Retro-Cool Sunglasses Are The Perfect Accessories To The Season's Statement-Making Ensembles

Redux is the keyword that echoed through the Fall 2018-2019 international runways. With trends being ephemeral and the world of fashion moving in a cyclical manner, bygone trends are experiencing a comeback and renaissance of sorts today.

Just when we thought everyone was over the bold animal prints, we saw models at the shows of Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria Beckham, and Gareth Pugh rocking fiery leopard print numbers. The eighties shoulders are back on trend, too, giving a contemporary spin to power dressing, as seen on the runways of Fendi and Marc Jacobs.

The Spring/Summer 2019 shows, on the other hand, have also introduced a revival of trends that are inspired by the past and reworked to fit the present. The classic, dainty lace is reinterpreted in more masculine silhouettes and constructions by designers like Christopher Kane and Alexander Wang. A summer staple, floral prints are also making wow-inducing statements in variations that are giving us all the retro feels; check out pieces from Versace, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, and Carolina Herrera.

Without the need to directly state it, retro stays chic forever, with trends from the 60s, 70s, 80s, or 90s making well-deserved seasonal comebacks.

In terms of accessories, small and shaded sunglasses are also back on the style radar. Iconic eyewear brand Ray-Ban has recently released an equally iconic sunglass shape with the Ray-Ban Beat. Giving their signature sunglasses a whole new form, this pair of retro-cool sunglasses is designed with a distinct oval shape that has a lithe metal frame as well as cool colored lenses.

Its signature oval lenses come in classic black or brown, or in trendy, see-through hues of pink, gradient coffee, and gradient burgundy.

The Ray-Ban Beat sunglasses are priced at P9,990 (Dark Green and Dark Brown) and P10,990 (Brown Gradient, Pink Mirror, and Grey Gradient)

The Ray-Ban Beat's style is reminiscent of the vintage minimalist movement, the iconic Beatles era of the 60s, and the street grunge aesthetic of the 90s. Its timeless look makes it a versatile fashion accessory that can match any outfit, and lend it a fun, hip, and playful feel.

Ray-Ban® is available in Vision Express Philippines, Eye Society, authorized department stores and other optical stores nationwide.
