Style Of The Stars: The Top Trends From The Oscars 2018 Red Carpet

It was no surprise that the Oscars red carpet was filled with stunningly elegant looks, but there were a few trends that stood out the most. From eye-catching bows to jewel toned wonders, these are the stars that brought their A-game and ruled our trend radar.

1. Sparkling Dresses

Hollywood’s most glamorous night won’t be complete without some glimmer in the red carpet. These ladies made sure the Oscars statue won’t be the only one shining, as they show-off their satin, metallic and jeweled attire. With these  goddess-like frocks seen all-over the red carpet, you can probably consider this show stolen.

2. Jewel Toned Baubles

Nothing says regal like a good pair of jewels. Octavia Spencer and Jennifer Garner fully committed to their emerald and sapphire gowns by pairing them with jewels of the same shade. While Camila Alves put all the attention to her lovely Chopard neck piece.

3. Bows

This classic, very feminine detail was seen all over the red carpet! Nicole Kidman’s electric blue dress with bow hip was definitely one for the books. Saoirse Ronan’s fresh pastel pink dress by Calvin Klein was the perfect cut for a fun,  yet sophisticated look. While Emma Stone’s bold move to wear a pants and blazer pairing in the red carpet paid off, as she added the pink bow belt for a good pop of color.

4. Perfect Clutch

New red carpet rule: Match your hand bag with your gown! Take cues from Helen Mirren’s Judith Leiber midnight blue number, Viola Davis’ bold neon pink and Allison Janney’s bright red clutch by Roger Vivier that perfectly matches their equally stunning gowns.
