Davao Gets A New Festival Celebrating Philippine Chocolate

Chocolate lovers have a new reason to visit Davao. This August, <a href="https://www.cacaoculture.ph" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cacao Culture</a> is launching the first 8.8 Chocolate Festival, a month-long celebration of Philippine chocolate featuring tasting flights, new product releases, festival promotions, and a curated selection of locally made chocolates.<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/178569188797388 Poster.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Photo: Cacao Culture PH</div>Launched to mark Cacao Culture&#x27;s tenth anniversary, the festival celebrates Philippine chocolate and the country&#x27;s growing craft chocolate scene. Activities begin on August 1, with the main celebration on August 8 at the company&#x27;s two cafés in Davao City.Visitors can join chocolate tasting flights, browse curated bundles, discover new products, and enjoy festival promotions. Featured brands include <a href="https://www.instagram.com/aurochocolate/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Auro Chocolate</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/malagoschocolate/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Malagos Chocolate</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/nutrarich/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Nutrarich Davao Fine Tablea</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/cacaodecelo.official/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cacao de Celo</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/coscaochocolate/https://www.instagram.com/1919chocolate/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Coscao Chocolate</a>, 1919 Chocolate, and other makers from around the country.Founded in 2016 by Kenneth and Shiela Reyes-Lao after they moved from Metro Manila to Davao, Cacao Culture has grown from a cacao seedling nursery into a chocolate maker, retailer, and curator of Philippine chocolate. The company opened its first physical chocolate café in 2023 to give customers a more immersive way to explore local cacao.Cacao Culture is also holding online and in-store promotions from August 7 to 9 through its website and official Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop stores.
