There's never a bad time for ice cream. It's perfect at the end of a busy workday, when you need a little dose of serotonin after a crazy and exhausting week, as self soother late at night just before bed, or even for breakfast! Metro.Style launches Project Happiness this October, and my happy contribution is this list of the best new finds in ice creams, gelatos and sorbets in the city. J&M Naughty & Nice Ice Creams
Artisanal ice cream maker Paco Magsaysay of Carmen’s Best fame turns his hand to making the kind of sophisticated ice cream that make grown ups feel like kids all over again. His ‘mature’ line consists of four handcrafted ice cream flavors infused with liquor. Imagine starting your day with Secret Breakfast, a yummy combo of cream base, cornflake cookies, Kahula and Bourbon. Brown Russian has a chocolate base infused with Kahlua and whiskey. Grom Gelato's new flavors!
GROM Gelato is so pure and creamy that it personifies luxury in gelato form. We’re so happy they launched three new flavors. Fragola (strawberry) is made with fresh strawberries from GROM’s organic farm in Italy. Nocciola (hazelnut) is made only with hazelnuts with the appropriate high fat content to get the flavor and aroma just right. And Caffee (coffee) is made from Guatemalan coffee with notes of chocolate, caramel, honey and citrus. Feel like you’ve traveled to Turin with every spoonful.
