Smash Burger Hit Bored & Hungry Opens In Quezon City

Hailed as Good Morning America’s “Best Burger in the US” for 2022, Bored & Hungry (B&H) landed in Manila in December 2022 after striking a deal with Charlie Paw’s Tasteless Food Group (also Digital Walker and Apple distributor Beyond The Box). B&H founders Andy Nguyen, Kevin Seo, and Philiip Huynh even dropped by to launch their first branch at The Grid Food Market in Power Plant Mall. 

Today, Bored & Hungry opens its second branch in the Philippines at another posh food hall in Quezon City. 

Located at the 4th level of Robinsons Magnolia, Public Eatery is Tasteless Food Group’s latest food hall endeavor and in it you’ll find a foodie paradise from designer coffee to Thai food developed by Michelin-Starred Thitid Tassanakajohn or Chef Ton (of Le Du, the number one restaurant in the world), a French viennoisserie (Fabrique by baking wunderkind Kris Edison Tan) to Pinoy comfort food reimagined by celebrity chef Tatung Sarthou. And the latest addition to this cacophony of culinary delights is Los Angeles-borne Bored & Hungry.

Just like in The Grid Food Market, the award-winning burger joint is serving their signature OG Bored Burger by Chef Fernando and Golda Valladares; and the OG Pinoy Burger launched last June with a Vigan Longganisa patty, banana ketchup aioli, atchara, and a fried egg. 

Bored & Hungry also recently launched new a third burger and a bunch of new refreshing drinks, perfect for this humid tropical weather! 

The new Triple OG Burger has the goodness of the OG Bored Burger but with three smashed burger patties for extra texture and flavor. They also have four new drinks to enjoy with your burger:

The Calamansi Creamsicle Shake, a refreshing blend of vanilla shake and calamansi juice—a flavor that will remind you of summer

The Ube Halo Halo Shake, as Filipino as it gets with an ube milkshake that’s layered with classic halo-halo toppings, and topped with leche flan, rice crispies, and a dusting of ube powder.

The OG Chocolate Malt Shake, just as its name suggests: a creamy chocolate milkshake with added malt

And the Arnold Palmer: the ultimate summer beverage with Bored and Hungry’s signature cold tea poured over ice.
