Chill Out This Summer With An Ice-Cold Avocado-Cucumber Smoothie That’s Good For You Too
When the heat turns up, you’ll want to bring on the cold. While we love milkshakes on a hot summer day, they can sometimes be a bit too creamy and, frankly, loaded with too many calories. But instead of foregoing the milkshakes altogether, why not find a “happy” middle ground—a smoothie that’s cold, creamy, and green!
For this Avocado-Cucumber Smoothie recipe, we’re retaining the ice cream (because why not!) but giving an extra boost of nutrition with good-for-you ingredients like cucumber and celery. If fresh avocados are in season, feel free to add them as well. The ice cream should give this smoothie enough sweetness without the need to add more sugar. But if you still want your smoothie sweeter, you can opt for honey which has lots of beneficial antioxidant and antibacterial properties.
Avocado-Cucumber Smoothie

1 cup avocado ice cream
1/4 cucumber, sliced
