Celebrate National Cheese Lover’s Day with a One-Night-Only Raclette Popup at Malingap Central Food Hall

You don’t need an excuse to indulge in cheese, but we’ll give you one anyway. January 20 is National Cheese Lover’s Day, a wonderful and very legitimate reason to abandon yourself to the pleasures of the fromage. Serendipitously, it is also the day of La Petite Fromagerie’s One Night Popup at the Malingap Central Food Hall.

La Petite Fromagerie is the sexiest, most decadent cheese catering service in town. Their specialty is raclette—layers of gooey, creamy, melting fromage that spread luxuriously over a plateful of nibbles, usually in the form of crostini, baguette slices, cornichons, pickled onions. But on this special occasion, at La Petite Fromagerie One Night Popup, you can get the raclette to cheesify any dish. Talk about leveling up an already great dining experience! Malingap, by the way, is the brainchild of Chef Ed Bugia, the man behind Pino, Pipino and BRGR: The Burger Project. Which means to say that it isn’t just any ordinary food park. Every single food purveyor has been selected personally by Bugia and includes respected industry veterans: Chef Him Uy de Baron and JJ Yulo partner in Nice To Meat; Comisario Quixote is run by the scions of the family that owns the Dulcinea restaurants; and Taza Platito Desserts serves up the delectable pastries of Tina Concepcion Diaz.

So, to repeat, you can cheesify any dish from Malingap Central Food Hall. Or you can hunker down to a traditional raclette platter of crostini, cornichons and pickled onions. Wash it down with cold beer. Bring your friends and have a Saturday night worth remembering. Don’t forget, you’re celebrating National Cheese Lover’s Day! See you there!
