Dim Sum In The Sky
When we use the phrase ‘Pie in the Sky’, we often refer to some pipe dream, something we fantasize about, but have to admit is illusory. So we can be grateful to Lung Hin at Marco Polo Ortigas for making oft-dreamed-of and heavenly dim sum an everyday reality. And the ‘in the Sky’ reference is quite literal, as Lung Hin is a culinary aerie situated on the 44th floor of the hotel.
If you thought dim sum was merely Cantonese comfort food, something travellers along the Silk Road in ancient times would partake of in the middle of the day or during tea time; be ready to have that food view upheaved, for Lung Hin has elevated Dim Sum in a manner befitting a royal court.
Whether the traditional steamed, pan-fried, or deep fried, the different Dim Sum menu items on offer at Lung Hin have been given special twists and touches, courtesy of their Hong Kong Dim Sum Master Chef Wong Chou Lung. The familiar Siu Mai is infused with truffle sauce, giving it a distinct taste and aroma. There’s a little touch of Gold Leaf in their Shrimp Dumping, their Har Kou.

The Baked Barbecue Pork Buns are crisp on the outside, yet delectably soft and squishy on the inside. And the Pan-Fried Radish Cake with XO Sauce is to die for. If in the XO mood, order their Chicken Feet which is also drenched in XO—it’s 'adidas' given a little punch. Check out the Spinach and Scallop Dumplings for good measure.

The wonderful vistas that one can enjoy while dining at Lung Hin only add to the impression that one is partaking in a celestial banquet, fit for the gods.
