Bastille Day is approaching, and so the people of France, wherever in the world they may be, are just about ready to celebrate. But that doesn’t mean we leave all the festivities to the French. If you’re still looking for things to do this weekend, make sure you don’t miss the last three days of French Week at Sofitel Manila.

A longstanding tradition of the hotel, French Week is an homage to l’art culinaire française, and each carefully and intricately crafted moment of the week—from high tea to Champagne dinners and private wine classes in between—demonstrates French art de vivre.
Lovers of the epicurean and the gastronomic will be more than pleased, as the hotel—care of their very own Chef Julien Cossé—has lined up the most indulgent and luxurious experiences in food and beverage. Check out what Sofitel has in store for the rest of the week:
La Route des Vins at Spiral (until July 14, 2019)
Since Monday, Chef Julien has been showcasing culinary staples from the diverse wine regions of France through La Route des Vins, or The Wine Route. On Friday, expect choucroute garnie (sauerkraut), baeckeoffe (baker’s oven), and flammenkeuche (tarte flambée) from Alsace. On Saturday and Sunday, the menu combines previous dishes in a medley of all the featured culinary regions, exhibiting the crème de la crème of French cuisine.

La Route des Vins is available starting at P2,750 nett for lunch and P3,200 nett for dinner.

French Cocktails at Le Bar (until July 14, 2019)
All Grapes
Signature concoctions inspired by the romantic city of Paris take centerstage at Le Bar until Sunday. Choose from a featured cocktail menu including Blenheim, Champagne spiced with peppercorn syrup; All Grapes, Ciroc vodka derived from frosted grapes and balanced with the refreshing flavor of white grapes; French Kiss, vodka and raspberry liqueur; and Bastille, gin, Cointreau, and pineapple juice.
Le Bar's French cocktails are available at P500 nett.
La Grande Epicerie at Galette (until July 14, 2019)

At the Galette counter located by Le Bar, splurge on a rich selection of international wine or grab a sandwich like a jambon-beurre to go—decadent culinary pleasures reminiscent of la grande epicerie de Paris.
Afternoon High Tea at Le Bar (July 13, 2019)
Delicate scones, sandwiches, and pastries from a French-inspired high tea seat menu at Le Bar will be available on Friday, July 13, from 3pm to 5pm. You can even get your portrait sketched by an artist as a memento while drinking a glass of sparkling wine for P1,100 nett.
If you prefer an alcohol-free afternoon, that’ll be P900 nett.
Private Wine and Cheese Class at Spiral (July 14, 2019)
The week-long celebration culminates on Bastille Day, where one can discover the delightful tandem of fine French wine and artisanal cheese in a private wine & cheese class, featuring Sofitel’s French wine connoisseur, Eric Norbert.
The class starts at 4:30pm and is available at P1,500 nett.
