LalaFood Ceases Operations On February 15
It's been awesome ride!
We're going to miss LalaFood, the food delivery service of LalaMove, which will cease operations in the Philippines on the day after Valentine's Day, February 15. In a statement made via their Facebook page, the delivery service says that the company will be redirecting its focus on the core Lalamove delivery business, adding: "It's been an awesome ride!"
LalaFood was launched two years ago as an "incubation project" of Lalamove, to explore the food delivery sector. "While as a company, we have learned a great deal from LalaFood, a decision has been made to redirect our focus entirely on our core Lalamove delivery business."
The company stresses its commitment to strengthening its investment in the Philippines, and cite that expansion plans are already underway in Manila and Pampanga. "We place great confidence in the Philippine market and we are excited for what lies ahead in 2021," they say.
"We express our deepest gratitude to all of LalaFood's customers for your continued support, and to our partner riders and merchants who were with us throughout this journey," the statement read.
All LalaFood accounts will become inactive on February 16, 2021.
