With Metro Manila in a month-long lockdown in response to the threat of COVID-19, many restaurants and food establishments are temporarily closing down. Events have unfolded so swiftly that few were prepared for a community quarantine, and many of these establishments have already bought their stock which will go into spoilage if not consumed.

Note that it will continue to ferment for a few days, changing its taste over time.
