This Wednesday, chef and best selling author Angelo Comsti will be moderating a panel discussion called “The Future of Food: What’s Our Game Plan?” He will be joined by Eric Dee, CEO of Foodee Global Concepts; Dom Hernandez, CEO of Franchise Asia Philippines; Margarita Forés, restaurateur and owner of CIBOSecretary Berna Romulo-Puyat, Department of Tourism secretary; Bel Castro, Assistant Dean of the College of Hospitality Management at Enderun; and Cecile Poignant, trend analyst and social perspectivist. 


The COVID-19 pandemic has placed the food and beverage industry in an unprecedented situation. It’s dire, and it was unexpected, but it is here now and it is up to visionaries of the food industry as well as supporting and adjacent industries to help and lift each other up.

“The damages of the pandemic extends beyond the people involved in running restaurants,” says Angelo Comsti. “We also have to acknowledge the farmers who just can’t simply stop growing produce. Add to that the problem of logistics, of how to bring their goods to the market given the lockdown.”
