An Opulent Feast For The Opulence Halloween Ball
A peek into the elegant repast served to the stars
To paraphrase the old witticism, if a party without cake is just a meeting, then a ball without a feast is just another blah get-together. And for a glamorous event rather immodestly called the Opulence Halloween Ball, nothing short of an opulent feast is fitting.
Don’t worry, that was exactly what was served. And what a feast!
From the hands of the Marquis Events Place’s well-honed culinary team headed by executive chef Carlo Michael Castillo, came a spread that was as glamorous as the guests. The exquisite pass-around canapés were artful creations that echoed the fanciful mythological theme of the night. And all definitely so IG-worthy!
The enormous grand ballroom with its seven-meter-high ceiling was dotted with buffet tables groaning under the weight of charcuterie and cheese. Exquisite selections inclued Lyoner mushroom hams, salami Milano, and Danish blue cheese. These spreads were artistically laid out with a selection of almonds, walnuts, pecans, dried fruit and crackers.
If you wandered out to the al fresco area, a kakanin buffet by House of Li Kakanin Buffet.
And, to quench parched throats, was a scintillating selection of drinks. Johnnie Walker Blue on the rocks or in cocktails, the pristine Don Julio 1942 tequila served as margaritas or palomas (although, we love this on the rocks as well). A team from Run Rabbit Run was at hand to mix up mocktails, too.
An extravagantly delicious, heady party was had by all.
