HIS FAVORITE SPOT
Lit Manila

After dinner, why not hang out with Dad as you end the Father’s Day celebration together with a glass of Japanese whisky. Reminisce, catch up, and even down highballs with your Dad at this go-to bar for Japanese whisky—because no good story starts with drinking milk. LIT has the best Japanese whiskies to try now, including premium ones like Suntory Yamazaki, Hibiki, Karuizawa Exceed, and Nikka Yoichi 12-year Single Malt, to name a few.
Raging Bull Burgers
30th Street corner 4th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, (02) 820 0888

Spoil Dad at Raging Bull Burgers where burgers have an attitude of a rock star! Patties are made from choice cuts of brisket, rump, and Wagyu, marinated in their original seasoning mix. Dad can enjoy premium charcoal grilled burgers topped with homemade ingredients, and at a very attractive price. The burgers might be quaint in size but the flavors punch way above their weight and are very filling on their own. The Mighty Beast, for example, is a 1/3 pound Angus beef patty, topped with lettuce, tomato, aged cheddar, spicy beer mustard sauce, dill pickle, and griddle maple bacon. Dad’s grin is going to be plastered on his face when he devours this Mighty Beast paired with a milkshake, and some messy fries that are topped with pulled pork, Raging Bull BBQ sauce, and cheddar cheese.
Tendon Kohaku
3/F Uptown Mall, 36th Street corner 8th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, (02) 838 2476

It’s time to break the steak game. Let Dad indulge in a huge bowl of Shrimp Tendon that consists of eight juicy, jumbo-sized wild tiger prawns coated in a light, crisp batter, served with pickled radish and miso soup on the side. But Tendon Kohaku serves more than just shrimp. If you’re feeling a little more festive, order dad the Seafood Tendon that’s made of black tiger prawns, scallop, kisu, tuna, squid, and oyster all in one bowl. Or if Dad wants something a little light, he can choose from the different udon dishes that are on the menu. Who would’ve thought that a tempura place would be so exciting?
