Wagyu Studio Collabs With Manila's Best Chefs In Series of Extraordinary Tasting Menus
Believe me, you don't want to miss this
Since opening its doors last October, Wagyu Studio has been redefining concepts by breaking with traditional styles. This January, they continue to forge ahead with a series of four-hands events called the Live Kitchen Sessions.
The Live Kitchen Sessions is a collection of collaborative dining events celebrating the best Japanese and local products and produce. “These first Live Kitchen Sessions are very meaningful for us,” says LA Clavano, managing director of Wagyu Studio. “We want not only to celebrate the remarkable culinary talent we have in the Philippines, but also to commemorate the arrival of our Grand Prix Kobe wagyu from three-time Kobe Beef Grand Prix winning farmer, Kyuko Tanaka. This is a historic first for the Philippines.”
Slated for January 13 and 14, and January 20 and 21, 2021, the Live Kitchen Sessions will welcome four outstanding chefs into their kitchens to collaborate with their host, Wagyu Studio’s executive chef, Yoji Kitayama: Margarita Forés of Grace Park on January 13, Josh Boutwood of The Test Kitchen and Helm on January 14, Miko Calo of Restaurant Metronome on January 20 and Chele Gonzalez of Gallery by Chele on January 21.

“We have worked very hard to establish our reputation as a restaurant for high-quality Japanese and local ingredients and produce,” explains Kitayama. “But now, these sessions are all about having fun. It is my honor to work with these amazing chefs.” Collaborating with Kitayama, these guest chefs will create extraordinary multi-course, tasting menus that not only highlight their own talent and ingenuity but also the sublime quality and versatility of wagyu as a premium ingredient.
“In the end, The Live Kitchen Sessions are a playground. It is a space where chefs can jam with us, explore their creativity, share their creations with our guests and just blow us all away,” concludes Rianne Barrameda, restaurant manager of Wagyu Studio.
The Live Kitchen Sessions: Volume One will be held at Wagyu Studio’s Live Kitchen. Each of the four session nights will only have one dinner seating for 16 guests. Proper social distancing will be practiced and all health and safety protocols will be strictly enforced.
