This Steakhouse Has A Fab 4-Hands Happy Hour Special
This isn't just a menu, it's a revolution in luxury dining!
Steakhouse dining usually calls for a splurge, but Wolfgang's Steakhouse is flipping the script with What's Your Beef, a four-hands happy hour menu available until September 30. This isn't just a menu; it’s a revolution in luxury dining—making it accessible enough so that you don’t need to wait for your birthday or special occasion to indulge. Think of it as a chance to savor world-class steakhouse vibes at a price that won't break the bank.
A collaboration between Wolfgang's Steakhouse, Chef Edward Bugia, the culinary mastermind behind Flipside Burgers, and San Miguel Beer, What’s Your Beef takes an unapologetically "beef-forward" approach, celebrating premium cuts in all glory, presented in clever new ways.
Available from Mondays to Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the bar and al fresco areas, the menu consists of four savory dishes plus dessert and drinks. P1,988 gets you a set with three drinks, P2,188 for a set with four beverages, and you can order additional plates for P348 each.
These Happy Hour sets vary depending on the day of the week. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, you get a savory, juicy Smash Burger topped with a small sliver of foie gras torched so it melts like butter over the patty, served with duck fat truffle fries and smoked onion rings and dill pickles. This is followed by Sinuglaw, a Visayan dish usually made with pork—which in this case has been replaced with USDA prime hanger steak and fresh yellowfish tuna in coco lime jus.
The third dish is Pinoy BBQ Skewers, which the chef describes with relish as “very Pinoy, manamais-namis.” Finally there is Manila Pares, a braised USDA prime short ribs with luscious bone marrow, with soup, garlic fried rice, and a little bowl of chili garlic. And for dessert, Ice Cream Sundae served with chocolate-covered bacon.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, you get the Smash Burger, followed by a Bistek-Style Tataki, which is a delightful riff on the classic Bistek Tagalog. Bitterballen follows—Dutch-style croquetas with mechado sauce, which I thought had surprisingly restrained seasoning.
The star of this set is the Burger Steak which is seared to get a nice crispiness, then served with fried rice and topped with a quail egg cooked sunny side up — a fusion of Japanese and Western influences. The dessert is also the Ice Cream Sundae.
The set menu includes three beverages that may be San Miguel Beer’s Cerveza Blanca or Cerveza Negra on tap. Or sip a beer cocktail like the Cerveza Espresso Martini.
What’s Your Beef is available at Wolfgang’s branches at Podium, One Bonifacio High Street, and Newport Mall. The limited-time menu will run until September 30, 2024. For more information, visit FB: @WolfgangSteakhousePH or IG: @wolfgangsteakhouseph.
