Bucket List: Where To Eat In Siargao According To JP Anglo
The surfing paradise has a versatile and vibrant food scene. Discover its delicious treasures with JP Anglo as our guide
The tiny, teardrop-shaped island of Siargao is a paradise that offers world class surfing, eco-friendly boutique resorts, and surprisingly, a vibrant and growing local restaurant scene. The island is also the home-away-from-home of Chef JP Anglo, who has been a Siargao regular years before it became a popular tourist destination, and Siargao was the venue of his 2019 destination wedding to fellow surfing enthusiast Camille Malapas. As Siargao reopens after lockdown, we asked JP to share his favorite dining hotspots, from old haunts to new discoveries. This is his curated list. We say, get ready to add these places to your bucket list of dining destinations. We're proud to present: Siargao through the lens of Chef JP Anglo.

Kermit Siargao
This hotspot is the best place to be after sunset. Owner Gianni Grifoni serves up arguably the best pizzas on the island baked in his Italian-made brick oven. Gulp down some icy beers or cocktails, and imbibe in the very relaxed atmosphere only attainable close to the sea. Barangay 5, General Luna, Siargao. Website: www.kermitsiargao.com.

We love the creative riffs on local fare. Like the Harana Halo Halo, Chef Gabe’s healthier take on the classic halo halo but served on a bed of shaven watermelon ice. Or the PBJ Turon stuffed with peanut butter and jelly, served with ube ice cream. Tuason Point, General Luna, Siargao. Website: haranasurf.com.
