Savor The Best Of French Food On An All-Expense-Paid Trip To France!

The Crawl France Promo is on—and we’ll bring you to one of the greatest culinary destinations in the world

We’ve gone to Spain. We’ve experienced Italy. We are about to take a bite of New York. And now, we’re heading to another foodie capital in the world—France!

The Crawl has been bringing us all over the world, letting us experience the unique food and culture of each country and city. Last year, we premiered with The Crawl Spain, where we were introduced to Spanish fare with Dani Aliaga, restaurateur and marketing genius behind Spanish concepts here in the metro like Rambla, Las Flores, and La Lola Churreria; hot foodie and entrepreneur Nico Bolzico; and world-renowned chef Willy Trullas, “The Sexy Chef” who put up Tomatito here in the Philippines.

After the success of The Crawl Spain, we brought together two powerhouse foodies in a two-part special that toured us around Italy: Chef Margarita Forés, voted Asia’s Best Female Chef in 2016; and Matteo Guidicelli, owner of Italian restaurant Da Gianni Cucina Italiana. Chef Margarita and Matteo explored Milan, Alba, Veneto, and Florence during their 11-day shoot in Italy, bringing us the most authentic Italian experience television can deliver.

Last month, we leveled up The Crawl experience and brought with us two lucky viewers to join The Crawl team in experiencing The Big Apple itself—New York! Alongside Chef Margarita, Edu Manzano, and The Crawl team, they were able to get to know and dine at the most popular Filipino restaurants in New York, and at the best restaurants in the city that encapsulate what American fast food, casual, and fine dining is all about.

This time, we are bringing back this opportunity for viewers to not only watch The Crawl, but also experience the food trip itself with The Crawl France.

Dine like the French

France probably has the most highfalutin and sophisticated food culture in the world, and it is where every meal is an event in itself. There is thorough care given to the presentation and table setting, especially at its many Michelin-starred fine dining restaurants. There is much activity at the markets, where people have access to the freshest produce every day: chanterelle mushrooms, artichokes, figs, wild strawberries, and many more ingredients you won’t find in the Philippines.

France has a beautiful café culture, too, where you can enjoy a cup of café crème sitting outside on the sidewalk, while people watching, with a book in one hand and your thoughts in the other. A trip to the patisserie or pastry shop is also a must where you can pick your favorite French pastries like éclairs, mille-feuille, tarte au citron, and macarons, of course.

But the holy trinity, probably, of French dining is bread, cheese, and wine. The French take these seriously, and together, they make the perfect meal—even on the go! France is home to more than 32,000 independent bakeries, which only shows how much the French love and respect good quality bread, from croissants and brioche, to baguettes and pain de campagne. The variety of French cheeses is mind boggling with more than 1,000 types to choose from. The same goes for French wines, ranging from high-priced Bordeauxs and Burgundies, iconic Champagnes, to more friendly labels from the south of France.
