This Sweet And Potent Christmas Sangria Will Make Your Holidays Even Merrier

Nothing spells celebration more than a fruit-infused cocktail like sangria. The best thing about this red wine concoction is that it can be made by the pitcher—perfect for big parties. Thanks to the added sweetness from the sugar syrup and fruits, you won’t even notice the alcohol. But with the brandy and Triple Sec mixed in, this sangria definitely packs a hidden punch!

You can keep your sangria ice-cold by letting the pitcher sit on ice or in an ice bucket. You can also add ice cubes to your guests’ glasses. Or else, freeze some of the sangria and use as the ice cubes themselves.

Christmas Sangria

Serves 6

  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1/2 cup sugar syrup
  • 1 lemon, half sliced, half juiced
  • 2 navel oranges, 1 sliced, 1 juiced
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 1/2 stick cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 2 tablespoons Triple Sec

Mix all the ingredients together and chill overnight or for at least 6 hours. Transfer sangria to a pitcher or carafe. Serve very cold but do not add ice cubes to the sangria so as not to dilute the flavors.
