Pancit Canton Never Tasted This Good When Cooked by Sandy Daza

Pancit Canton Guisado

  • cooking oil
  • chopped garlic
  • sliced onions
  • pork kasim (shoulder), cubed
  • shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • chicken, cooked and shredded
  • chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • patis (fish sauce)
  • sesame oil
  • black pepper
  • canton noodles
  • snow peas
  • sliced carrots
  • sliced string beans
  • shredded cabbage
  • chopped celery leaves
  • quail eggs, hard-boiled

 

1. Heat cooking oil in a pan. Sauté chopped garlic and sliced onions.

2. Add pork kasim and let it brown.

3. Add shrimp, shredded chicken, and chicken broth.

4. Mix in oyster sauce. Season with patis, sesame oil, and black pepper.

5. Add the canton noodles to the mixture and let cook.

6. Add the snow peas, carrots, string beans, and cabbage. Cover the pot until the vegetables are cooked.

7. Garnish with celery leaves and quail eggs.
