Make This Strawberry-Banana Smoothie Your Go-To Drink Of The Summer--With Or Without The Booze!

Beach time memories involve sun, sand, heat, and more often than not, a frozen fruit shake in one hand. You can recreate those good times at home with fresh fruits, whether strawberries, bananas, or whatever else is in season.

The secret to a beach-ready shake is to freeze your fruits ahead of time. It’s a handy way to always have fruits at the ready any time you’re hankering for a frozen drink. Freezing also keeps fruits you bought from over-ripening. Plus it adds extra creaminess and flavor to the shake—no need to add ice cubes anymore unless you prefer to dilute the fruitiness.

To properly freeze fruits, first peel and slice them, then place in separate glass containers. Don’t use plastic containers since fruits tend to stick to the sides. Glass also tends to better preserve the taste of the fruits. Or else, you can also use resealable freezer bags.
