World Whisky Day, which falls on every third Saturday of May, was said to have been established to encourage more people to try a dram (a measure of capacity that is equal to 1/8 of a fluid ounce) and celebrate the water of life.

1824 at Discovery Primea

This cigar and whisky bar located at the 2nd floor of Discovery Primea Hotel in Makati was named after the year when the first license for single malt distilleries was granted. It is hosting a number of events to celebrate World Whisky Day this Saturday (May 19) starting at 4pm that is open to the public, where you can taste a variety of whiskies from all over the world. You can even pair them with hand-rolled cigars from Tabacalera. You can also attend special masterclasses and avail of premium bottles at special prices.
