Remember Magnolia Bakery, the little cupcake shop in Manhattan’s West Village popularized by Sex and the City? It became so famous and such a success that it expanded until, in 2018, it opened an outpost in Manila called M Bakery.
M Bakery is now releasing a new line of desserts that are perfect for summer. The goodies are infused with beloved Filipino flavors like mango and calamansi, and even Choc Nut — doesn’t that bring to mind the carefree days of childhood? To beat the heat, you can also upgrade the brownies and hand pies with a scoop of ice cream to get them a la mode. Mango Jamboree
The incomparable sweetness of Philippine mango is the highlight of this dessert, which features a pecan shortbread crust, layers of cream cheese and a whipped cream filling, topped with a generous helping of fresh mango chunks.
