    2. Le Nöel Mirror Cake by Ooh La La by Rebecca Disini

Chef Rebecca Disini’s cakes are highly sought after, and with good reason. Each cake, lovingly handcrafted with premium ingredients, takes one whole day to make. We think Ooh La La’s mirror glaze cakes are almost too pretty to eat, but you’ll be happy to know they taste just as good as they look. The limited edition Le Nöel holiday cake features notes of nutmeg, mulled wine, cloves, aniseed, and cinnamon, punctuated by sweet Belgian chocolate.

    3. Cereal Cake by Pastry Cart

Pastry Cart may be famous for its Crême Brulée ake but we think that its new offering, the Cereal Cake, deserves to be an instant classic! Fans of milky desserts will go crazy for the milk-soaked sponge cake topped with cream frosting and a generous sprinkling of cornflake cereal.

Hiraya is an old Tagalog word that means imagination, and what Hiraya Bakery offers are imaginative, unique pastries that put local and seasonal ingredients in the spotlight. We’re big fans of their take on the classic s’mores cake, with banana leaf-flavored marshmallow frosting. This is on their special menu, so do order in advance.

This is everything a chocolate cake should be: sinfully fudgy with a deep chocolate flavor and a generous spreading of Belgian chocolate ganache. Frank and Carol’s started out as a home business in Taguig with stockists in Quezon City and Trinoma, but we have good news: Frank and Carol’s is set to open their own physical store soon.

    7. Special Occasion Cake by M Bakery

Those in the know might already be familiar with M Bakery, the Philippine branch of Magnolia Bakery. This New York bakery became popular for starting the cupcake craze (after being featured on Sex and the City) and patrons will be happy to know that you can get the same cookies, cupcakes, puddings and pies right here in Manila. M Bakery can also customize cakes for special occasions. Simply choose from the available flavors (vanilla, chocolate, carrot, coconut, flourless chocolate, lemon, and ube, just to name a few) and tell them the concept for your cake.

    11. Triple Fudge Cake by AperitifPH

Aperitif is famous for its graze boxes, but did you know they make desserts, too? The Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake, developed by award-winning pastry chef Kean Chuan, recalls chocolate tin can cakes but with a decidedly luxurious spin. The cake is enclosed in a gold Belgian chocolate shell and is topped with 24k edible gold leaf. We recommend eating this with a spoon—it’s that fudgy!

    12. Signature Butter Rum Cake by Flour Pot

What’s Christmas without a good old-fashioned rum cake? The Signature Butter Rum Cake took Rhea Castro-Sycip years to develop, and the effort is well worth it. The cake is made with premium ingredients: free range eggs, artisan butter from Bukidnon, and small batch rum. The result is a dense, buttery, and boozy cake—each bite is delightfully dreamy. Like the Avocado Sponge Cake (featured above), this cake also comes in a pretty basket, ready for gifting.
