Visit The Podium This Weekend For A Bite Of Sweet And Savory Crèpes, HK-Style Rice Bowls, And A Cookie Preview For Halloween
The revamped Podium Mall in Ortigas, now with six floors, is slowly getting filled up with new places to eat and shop. From high-end boutiques and unique eats, to our favorite spots, we’ve listed a few cool places you can check out this weekend.
TAI KOO HK ROAST
5/F The Podium, 18 ADB Avenue, Ortigas, Mandaluyong
For those who are hungry for good food but are hesitant to spend too much, they can head to Tai Koo HK Roast whose aim is to bring the authentic Hong Kong roast experience to Manila.
Aside from inexpensive party platters, this Hong Kong-style eatery also serves affordable quality dishes that can fill you up right away, from rice bowls to noodle selections. If you’re having a hard time deciding, why not try the combos, like the indulgent Roast Duck and Roast Pork Belly Rice Bowl for only P258. And did we mention that the duck gets flown in from Hong Kong?

Ça Va Creperie and Floral Atelier
G/F The Podium, 18 ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong
You can’t miss one of The Podium’s most beautiful spots, right beside the Julia Vargas entrance. Ça Va means “Okay” or “Everything's good!” in French, and you can certainly see why, as the place can easily brighten up your day with its floor-to-ceiling windows and colorful floral arrangements.
Scampi Escaper
Don’t let the dainty interior fool you because aside from their lovely flower arrangements, Ça Va also serves sweet and savory crepes and other flavorful dishes that you can enjoy at any given time of the day.
French Kiss
A must-try is the French Kiss, put together with butter, sugar, and a spritz of lemon—light, simple, with a sugary crunch. Savory crèpes come with witty names as well, whether it’s I’m Chori (chorizo, caramelized onions, Gruyère, apple slaw) or Scampi Escaper (shrimps, béchamel, mushrooms, Parmesan).
