4 Extra Tasty Ways To Get Your Roast Turkey Fix This Thanksgiving Weekend

The quintessential all-American holiday, Thanksgiving is said to be the largest eating event in the United States. Originally a celebration of thanks for a bountiful harvest, it has become an excuse to indulge in roast turkey, with a variety of side dishes like mashed potatoes, stuffing, yams, and cranberry sauce. While we Filipinos don’t have our own Thanksgiving, there’s no reason why we can’t get in on the celebration starting this Thursday, November 22, especially if the turkey is moist and flavorful, and the friends and family are willing. Whether you’d like to order a turkey to take home, or enjoy a turkey feast at a restaurant, here are four ways to give thanks for the bounty and good fortune you enjoy.

Milkyway Building, 900 A. Arnaiz Avenue corner Paseo De Roxas, San Lorenzo Village, Makati City, (02) 810-2763 or 810-8735

While it’s known for its Spanish-centric menu, Cirkulo is also proud of its Maple-glazed Roast Turkey with Sausage Stuffing, available during the Thanksgiving season. Opt for a small 6 to 7-kilo turkey good for 10 to 12 persons, or a large 9 to 10-kilo turkey that can feed 16 to 20 persons. The turkey comes with giblet gravy, dried cranberry compote, buttered French beans, and baby carrots.

Please note that you must order and reserve your bird three days before, available for takeout only. If you don’t have time to slave in the kitchen for Thanksgiving or any holiday party, you can order Cirkulo’s party platters to go with your feast.

G/F Somerset Olympia, Makati Avenue corner Sto. Tomas Street, Makati City, (02) 818-8251 (Makati) or (02) 521-3002 (Paco)

Old Swiss Inn offers traditional Thanksgiving turkey, both for takeout and for dine in. Good for 12 to 15 people, the Roast Turkey comes with traditional bread stuffing with chorizo, nuts, olives, and raisins, and is paired with cranberry jelly and gravy. Priced at P6,800 net for takeout, it’s a great deal for a Thanksgiving feast at home.

On November 22, you can enjoy a sumptuous Thanksgiving buffet at the restaurant, featuring, of course, Roast Turkey. Also on the menu are Cream of Pumpkin Soup, Buttered Vegetables, Cranberry Relish, Sweet Potato Pie with Roasted Marshmallow Topping, and Apple Pie and Pumpkin Pie, all for P1,320+ per head.
