Happy Ongpauco-Tiu Gives A Sneak Peek Of Her Entire Plate Collection
This mom-preneur takes us on a tour inside her ‘happy place’
Count on restaurateur Happy Ongpauco-Tiu for anything food and entertaining. Her inherent talent and big passion for the trade gave birth to well-loved dining spots like Pamana, Tsokolateria, and Le' Chon, as well as the bespoke Private Dining by Happy Concept Group. Throughout her years in the business, the mom-prenuer transformed into a hostess icon—a lady boss we’d love to steal style secrets from!
Her magic begins in her workroom, and if you’re an avid follower of Happy, you’ve probably gone green with envy over her entire collection of beautiful dinnerware. She loves silverware, vases, candle holders, and of course, plates—the signature Happy hosting pieces that even owns its own library.
In an exclusive sneak peek of Metro Channel inside what she calls her ‘happy place,’ the businesswoman walks us through her personal plate stacks. The collection, which Happy proudly shares, are the statement-makers of her party setups, whether it’s for a client or a private dinner she hosts herself. “When I do host parties, this is how I start my planning—by first thinking of what plate to use,” she muses.
Viewing the plate collection is like going on an art retreat. From BenCab to Morillo to Hermès plates, the variety is definitely a sight to behold.
