Rosanna Ocampo Pulled Off A Stylish, All-Girls Italian Brunch
A new clothing collection, an authentic Italian menu, a summery tablescape, and girl friends ready to enjoy girl talk over glasses of Aperol Spritz—these are a few of Rosanna Ocampo's favorite things to have at her brunch.
The fashion designer officially raised the bar for leisurely brunching, making the most of her innate creativity and showcasing her acquired European sensibilities from her five-year stint in Italy in more ways than one.
"Anyone who knows me well is quite aware that Italy is a country whose lifestyle courses through my veins and pretty much comprises my creative DNA. Having lived there for five years, soaking up the culture and everyday life, it would come as no surprise that my store has adopted the summery vibe of the Amalfi—an ode to the breathtaking coastal destinations through its vibrant hues and majestic energy," Rosanna shares.
What came of Rosanna's brunch held at intimate Italian restaurant Cicchetti was an Instagram-worthy gathering defined by hearty dishes, delicate décor, endless conversation, and the brunch's main event: the launch her most recent summer collection that's all about femininity and an effortlessly chic aesthetic.

Revealing pieces with playful patterns, thoughtful details, and confident cuts, Rosanna shares that she had specific women in mind during her design process.
"Some faces of the girls popped up in my head as early as I was sketching the designs out. They were so involved in the thought process of the actual product that it made absolute sense to name it after them," Rosanna shares.
"These beautiful girls can light up any room, but they were chosen not only because of that but because they [also] epitomize the quintessential 21st day woman—a woman about town who has many roles in society. She’s multi-talented, involved in many organizations, well-rounded, well-travelled, and well-heeled. She has all her values and principles intact, but isn’t afraid to let her hair down once in awhile and have some fun," she continues.
There to serve as Rosanna's muses were Maggie Wilson-Consunji, Mikaela Lagdameo-Martinez, Xandra Rocha, Georgia Schulze, Nicole Hernandez, Bianca Brandner, Kelly Misa, and Nicole Jacinto, each sporting outfits that fit their personality to a tee!
Enjoying their much-needed girl time together, this pretty set talked about everything from beauty secrets to running a household to what life has been like as a loving mom and wife—a great pre-Mother's Day activity.
If not for the delicious spread served during the event, this set of gorgeous gals could have likely gone on talking till sundown!

Taking a break from their chatting, the girls also took the time to appreciate the delectable menu composed of Burrata pesto and coppa Ricotta Cicchetti, Calamari, Fritata, a choice of Pasta alla Vodka or Crab and Ricci with Pollo alla Sostanza, and for dessert Panna Cotta and Cannoli—a feast that Rosanna credits to Cicchetti's awesome team who helped her execute her brunch seamlessly.
Even the table's other elements were beautifully constructed; "The team was wonderful to work with and executed the event seamlessly. For the centerpiece, I opted for a lemon-themed tablescape as a nod to sunny Sorrento," Rosanna reveals.

Ending the day with nothing but smiles and new memories made with friends, Rosanna also shares her top tips for hostesses wishing to organize their own brunches:
"Make sure you tick off these boxes: hearty food (people skipped breakfast), wine (and lots of it), music (always sets the mood), a beautiful tablescape (a given) and most importantly, an interesting set of people. Oh, don’t forget to ask if anyone has food restrictions!" Rosanna says.

To celeberate the success of her most recent collection and to turn her attention to her family, this artistic mommy is now gearing up for a weekend in Balesin—a favorite summer beach destination of hers!
