6 Celebrity Homes That We Discovered During Quarantine

Our favorites have #goalsworthy abodes, indeed!

The pandemic has limited us to our private spaces, with several months in the ongoing isolation from the rest of the world. But thankfully, the internet is a savior that lets us wander outside our home to see life beyond the four corners of our homes.

And with all this time spent inside the comforts of our dwellings, what would be a better thing to do than to film the house? Thus, the growing trend of ‘House Tours’—a showcase of interiors and home settings which can serve as design inspiration or simply stress relief through seeing beauty in someone else’s space.

While house tours have been done before by a number of celebrities, many others have decided to finally ride the bandwagon this quarantine season and graciously offered a sneak peek of their place! And boy, we’re as equally starstruck with their thoughtfully designed and well-maintained houses

Last August, actress Maja Salvador brought viewers of her vlog, Meet Maja, into her family house she calls Casa Andres. A modern tropical space furnished with wooden pieces and modern accessories, the high-ceilinged home is a relaxing spot filled with things that the 31-year-old loves. Interior designer Miah Gomez followed Maja’s direction of bringing her passion for traveling for the interior, with pretty pieces that fit its theme that they got from OMO Furniture, Fashion Interiors, and Triboa Bay. The paintings located in the living area are extra special—one she got from an Aivee Clinic fundraising auction and three others created by her friend John Lloyd Cruz.

Giving the first glimpse of their home to their growing YouTube following, celebrity couple Derek Ramsey and Andrea Torres welcomed viewers to their spacious place. A modern pad is a grand display of sophisticated yet artfully-curated pieces that are mostly proudly Filipino-made. Derek emphasizes how big of a fan he is of local products, thus its abundance—as seen in several artworks, furnishings, and custom-made areas of the house by the likes of Jinggoy Buensuceso, Hamilton Sulit, and even fellow actor John Estrada. The marble walls, glass doors, comfy lounges, and the relaxing outdoor area give it an airy and luxury resort-type of vibe. Modern conveniences are also installed in their home, like the elevator made for their parents, the kitchen area, and lovely wall lights.

Erich Gonzalez prefers it simple and minimal. The actress toured fans and viewers of her YouTube channel in her six-year-old house, surrounded by lush nature. Referring to the space as a reflection of her personality, we see a clean and polished space with essential fittings in a neutral scheme. Filled with both preserved and fresh plants, several couches, and lots of curtains inside, she explains how these give the feel of being a “bahay na bahay talaga.” The lanai on the second floor is her favorite part of the house, with stairs that lead to their garden and, eventually, the backyard which she plans to fill with herbs and vegetables.

Finally, Zsazsa Padilla goes all the way to Lucban, Quezon Province to film Casa Esperanza, her and her partner Conrad Onglao’s ‘home away from home.’ In the vlog published in her YouTube channel, viewers can see the ongoing construction of their rest house. A modern rustic spot with touches of modern design, as the architect describes it, Casa Esperanza is already a refreshing and relaxing space to be in. They used recycled yakal wood to build some parts of the rest house, created gravel stone pathways for a more country look, and let indigenous garden plants populate the gardens. Also featured are the salt-water pool, some nearby villas, and the greenhouse where Zsazsa plans to display her collection of orchids.
