“Metro Home” Visits A Luxe Tropical Paradise At The Heart Of The Metro

High-rise living doesn’t have to feel like residing in a concrete jungle, especially when you find yourself in a tropical paradise at the heart of the metro.

Metro Home host Stephanie Kienle-Gonzalez visited the showroom of Shang Residences at Wack Wack to get a feel of the brand’s upcoming condominium project, and we’re treated to something that resembles a luxury vacation in Bali or the Bahamas.

Shang Residences at Wack Wack is an exclusive resort-inspired residential property in Mandaluyong, set in beautifully landscaped gardens with sweeping views of the city. It’s your own private retreat, a sanctuary in the middle of the city.

Terrence Or, Shang Residences’ interior designer, says that this new property will present a different kind of luxe than what we’re used to. He says, “When we think about luxury condominium, what we think is fully fitted out interiors, expensive materials, glam, chandelier. But [at Shang Residences Wack Wack], it’s the kind of luxe that’s in your soul, deep in your heart, the peace and calm with this stunning view.”

Simply put, Shang endeavors to create homes that people feel innately drawn to. The overall finish is not too glam, but when they walk in, they basically calm down and feel refreshed.

This is pulled off by starting with a clean base for the floors and the walls, and then the highlight comes from the furniture and the finishing. The luxe appeal is toned down with natural materials and textures like wood, marble, and sandstone to give off the tropical feel.

Spacious dining and living rooms

The tropical theme extends to the bathroom, created to feel like a vacation experience everytime. And since the furniture pieces are sourced from Italy and made with the highest quality, the Filipino element is injected through the artworks accentuated in each room.

Even the amenities were given utmost care and thought, carrying through the tropical paradise setting. The outdoor pool, the garden area, and the stunning views complete the experience, featuring relaxing greenery and a serene environment.
